MMJ Town Planning was pleased to assist with the recent approval of a multi-dwelling housing development at 5 Burr Avenue, Nowra. This thoughtfully designed project includes four townhouses, offering modern, low-maintenance living in a quiet, well-connected part of Nowra’s town centre.

The new dwellings will contribute to the area’s evolving character while maintaining a scale and style that complements the existing streetscape. This approval marks a positive step in supporting housing diversity and growth in the Shoalhaven region.

The town planning team at MMJ played a vital role in achieving approval for the Burr Avenue development. Their expertise was instrumental in preparing and presenting a Clause 4.6 Variation to provide an exception to Development Standards in Shoalhaven Local Environmental Plan 2014, successfully seeking a variation to the Minimum Lot Size requirement for multi dwelling housing in Shoalhaven City Council.

Lauren Turner, Manager of MMJ Town Planning, presented at the Council determination meeting and offered strategic advice throughout the project, ensuring the proposal was clearly communicated with Council staff and the elected Council.

Well done to the designers Duplex Building Design and the project team, on securing this development approval for our clients.
